"There are places, ideas, poems and myths that seize my heart and pervade my thoughts.  They are filled with allegory even if I don't understand the meaning at the time.  But if I listen, the poem will eventually sing and the artistry will manifest."

This small painting is of a marsh near our lake home in Burnett County, Wisconsin.  It is dry now, but when filled with water, the swans will swim in pairs, the cattails will flourish and you will hear the 'conk-la-ree" of the red winged black birds.  I'm also milling a frame for this out of oak so the final cost with frame will be $225.
